In mid-January a new podcast dropped, The American Submitter produced and written by Imran Ali Malik. There are a number of podcasts about Muslim life that have come out over the last year, but this podcast is special in the way it tells stories in a style very similar to RadioLab or This American Life. In the intro mini-episode, we are introduced to the style of the podcast while hearing a very surprising air marshal hijabi story that clearly needs to be made into some type of short film.

In the first full episode of The American Submitter we are introduced to Scott. A self-reflective, book loving, White American man in search for truth no matter where it would take him. From eating squirrels as a survivalist to embracing Islam and now as a full-time student at Zaytuna College in Berkeley, where he is a classmate of Ali-Malik. Highly recommended listening, and we look forward to many more future episodes.
